Welcome to my newest collection of words and music. Throughout my musical career I’ve lived, written and performed in New York, Los Angeles, and now Chicago. Mostly with various groups I’ve formed or been a part of. Recently, I’ve become a one man band of sorts. I’ve been experimenting and developing a new style and voice that is less commercially driven. I’m writing what comes naturally and authentically; a combination of rock, americana, funk, tribal, ballads, alt-country and pop. Good music transcends categories. You know it when it hits you in the gut.
I’ve approached this album as an artist more than a musician. Not striving to play a perfectly played guitar line but trying to capture the creative moment. The moment when you forget where you are and what you are doing. You become an open channel. Duende is the Spanish word for this moment. We don’t have a word for it in English. I enjoyed making this album. I hope you enjoy it as well.
